Last week a tornado swept through my community like a whirlwind of chaos, leaving behind devastation and heartache in its path. I don't know about you, but when I saw the aftermath, I knew I had to do something, anything, to help.
Now, I'll be honest, I'm no carpenter, and I can't swing a hammer to save my life. But what I can do is restore photographs. When I discovered members of our community were coming together and locating precious memories captured on film in order to return them to their owners, I noticed how many were damaged and battered by the storm. I knew right then I could help by breathing new life into the damaged photographs, so I got to work.

The images you're about to see were discovered by compassionate members of our local community and generously shared through the Nebraska/Iowa 2024 Tornado Lost and Found Facebook Group and retouched by me at no cost.
Now, I know that no amount of photo restoration can ever make up for the loss and pain that so many are feeling right now. But it's my small way of saying, "Hey, I see you. I hear you. And I'm here for you."

If you've got a photograph that's been through the ringer and could use a little TLC, don't hesitate to reach out. Just shoot me an email at hope.photos@kathopejones.com, and I'll roll up my sleeves and get to work.

And to all those out there who are hurting, who are struggling to pick up the pieces and move forward, know this: you are not alone. My thoughts, my prayers, my whole heart is with you. And together, we'll get through this.

God Bless,
